Sometimes all you need is to pause, recharge, be one with nature and create new experiences away from your own bubble. And as Ernest Hemingway once wrote, “Never go on trips with anyone you do not love,” and that’s what I did—in Siargao Island, Philippines, with the raddest group of people I now call my family—and now I’ve got tons of new memories I will carry with me for a long, long time.

Here are some photographs from my recent trip to Siargao:

Off to our resort

A small compound with 11 villas

I could live here, if there was Wi-Fi. Ha.

Flowers in every villa

Loving the rustic vibe at Surfing Pig, the restaurant inside Bayud Boutique Resort

A game that involves alcohol. Yes.

Off to Daku Island

Fine sand in Daku Island

Lunch break in between island hopping

“It was a calm and peaceful night,” said no one from this trip.

Cloud 9 is a famous surfing spot in Siargao Island

Got to try surfing for the first time and loved every bit of it. Priceless.
